A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Peels using Phenol, Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and/or alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) are performed at Dean Michael Aesthetics.  Types of AHAs used are Glycolic Acid (sugar based) and Lactic Acid (milk based). The chemical peels used by Dr. Tomasello and his Aesthetician at Dean Michael Aesthetics are prescription strength and thereby only available at a physician's office.  The precise formula or combination of ingredients are adjuested to the particular needs of each client.
